Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Callyo application (“Callyo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you install or use the app, interact with our website, or contact us. By using Callyo you consent to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal and technical information needed to operate the Callyo app securely and reliably:
- Account details such as name, email address, role, avatar, phone number, and time zone that you or your administrator provide.
- Communication content including messages, call recordings, attachments, comments, and metadata generated when you use messaging, calling, and collaboration features.
- Device and log data such as IP address, device identifiers, operating system, app version, diagnostic events, and crash reports collected automatically for security and performance monitoring.
- Support information contained in requests, feedback, or incident reports you send to us.
2. How We Use Information
We process the data above to:
- Authenticate users, maintain accounts, and deliver core Callyo features.
- Route, store, and display your communications to intended recipients.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent security incidents or misuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Improve and personalize Callyo, including developing new features and understanding usage trends.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Depending on your region, we rely on one or more of these legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the service you or your organization requested), legitimate interests (such as securing Callyo and improving it), compliance with legal obligations, and your consent for optional features or communications.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We share data only when necessary:
- Service providers: vetted partners that host infrastructure, deliver notifications, provide analytics, or offer support on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Workspace administrators: authorized managers within your organization who control membership, exports, and retention settings.
- Legal and safety: authorities or third parties when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of users or the public.
5. Data Retention
Account information is retained while your workspace remains active. Conversation history and files are stored according to the retention rules defined in Callyo by your administrators. Deleted items may remain in secure backups for a limited period to support disaster recovery.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access, multi-factor authentication options, continuous monitoring, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure; promptly notify us at security@callyo.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. International Transfers
Callyo may process information in countries different from where you live. When data leaves its origin region we apply safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and regional hosting choices.
8. Children’s Privacy
Callyo is not intended for children under 16 or the age of digital consent in their locale. If we learn that a child has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to local laws, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held about you. You may also object to or restrict certain processing. Submit requests to privacy@callyo.app. Administrators can export data, adjust retention, or deactivate accounts through the app.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. We will post changes here with a revised “Effective” date and, if the changes are significant, provide additional notice in-app or by email.
